MEET THE TRAINER

My fitness journey started way back in 2006, when I competed as a runner and eventually led me to compete in the state championship events my last two years of high school. In 2010, I weighed about 125lbs at 5'7. (Currently 180lbs at 5'9)


Then, in 2010, after enlisting in the United States Marine Corps I was introduced to several types of training including bodybuilding, high intensity interval training, strongman training, obstacle course racing, and triathlon training. I've recently been introduced to new types of training including CrossFit, olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and yoga. 


 My personal training career started to set in when I attended the National Personal Training Institute in Winter Park, FL from February 2017-June 2017. The school was a an extensive 600-hour program where instructors essentially packed what seems like a 4-year exercise science degree in 5 months.

Although my fitness journey began nearly 12 years ago, it wasn't always easy. Although over time you tend to learn and grow more, Ive had my battles and difficulties in life just like anyone else, some battles more severe then others. I've faced anxiety, depression, betrayal, discouragement. In 2016, I faced depression for about half a year and nearly completely stopped exercising. It seemed as though I had lost all the progress I had achieved the previous years. So I understand what it means to start from the bottom. It was then I realized I had a passion for fitness and wanted to use my past experiences with different styles of training, overcoming hardships, and creating a positive environment I encounter in my life.

The Truth behind the personal training biz

So what's the difference? Coming out of a nationally recognized personal trainer trade school, I was eager to step into the gym and work as a personal trainer. I built a solid clientale within my first month. Some key things I noticed about the common globo gym. First, they are sales oriented. Because the gym pushes their trainers to make sales, and also take a 60-85% cut of the training session from the trainer, trainers may not feel completely inclined or motivated to train their clients, although they wish to. Second, many gyms don't allow program design. This takes away creativity the trainer can show. Third, in most gyms, there is a cap on which how many non-training hours a trainer can work per week, making it difficult to manage life's expenses and also fully dedicate themselves to the gym and to their clients. However, there are plenty of amazing and knowledgeable trainers out there. Personally, it only took me a few months working for a gym to realize that I could offer so much more to people. Then 99% Fitness happened...

BODYBUILDING PHASE 1-5

Combining strength, speed, stability, power and aerobic capacity to maximize performance and progress. Designed around NASM's OPT Model. This program is suitable for everyone from beginner to pro, with most exercises capable of being modified.

Combination of HIIT, body building, aerobics, calisthenics, and utilizing different energy systems to ultimately shred fat, and lean weight.

RUNNER'S PROGRAM

Suitable for the triathlon athlete, runner, obstacle course racer, or anyone wanting to improve their run time or capabilities. Expect a combination of indoor and outdoor training.

ULTIMATE ATHLETE

Program designed for the athletic-hungry, competitive spirit, adrenaline seeking, and open-minded individual. Combining bodybuilding, CrossFit, speedblast, strongman, powerlifting, and outdoor training. Goal is to apply training concepts to any sport or movement.

DIET THERAPY

Learn your body's energy expenditure and daily required amount of calories based on weekly activity level, body mass index, and fitness goals. Track your progress through body measurements, assessments,body fat %, and strength improvements. Specific daily/weekly meal plans available upon request.
